Each year, Orcas Island residents gather at noon on Earth Day for the annual parade to celebrate the beauty and goodness of the earth. We usually carry a giant Earth Ball at the head of the procession. This year, the police were open to the idea of mounting the earth ball on their car, and leading the parade.
